Ecogerm Farmers

Improving livelihoods, sharing ideas and solidarity

Ongoing Projects

As part of the BOLD project, we have a 10-year contract with the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food to deposit seeds in the Svalbard Global Seed Vault

We have received funding to the tune of $71,000 from CROP TRUST, our partner, to carry out seed regeneration and safety duplication in community seed bank cooperatives in different agro-ecological regions of Cameroon, for preservation in the Svalbard Global Seed Vault

About Ecogerm

Improving livelihoods, sharing ideas, knowledge and solidarity

We are a community-based organisation working with local farming groups within the North-West and South-West regions of Cameroon. We strive to improve agricultural production by sharing ideas and knowledge, employing high-quality indigenous seeds and planting materials. We work hand-in-hand with these communities to analyse and interpret useful information on the interaction of various species in their respective agroecology to improve yields and consequently livelihoods.
